EUGENE, Ore.--The Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI)released its new Generic Materials List, a 135-page document that includesinformation on more than 800 materials for use in crop, livestock and processingsectors of organic production. New to the list is an OMRI (www.omri.org)Annotation column that includes restrictions on use of listed materials; crossreference listings to materials included in the International Federation ofOrganic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) Basic Standards; and an OMRI Status columnthat codes each material as Allowed, Regulated or Prohibited.
