Johnsonville Recalls Turkey Sausages Over Foreign Materials

WASHINGTONJohnsonville Sausage announced a nationwide recall of approximately 48,000 pounds of "Turkey Sausage with Cheddar Cheese" products because they may contain pieces of gloves, USDAs Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Aug. 15.

The recall involves 13.5-ounce vacuum packages of "Johnsonville Turkey Sausage with Cheddar Cheese" with best by dates of Aug. 20, 2012. The packages can be identified by establishment number "EST. P-34224" inside the USDA mark of inspection. The sausages were produced on May 22, 2012, and distributed to retail establishments nationwide.
