WASHINGTONFresh Express is recalling 2,939 cases of bagged spinach because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced April 5.
The recall involves 9-ounce bagged spinach with product codes starting with H081 and H082, UPC code of 7127913204 and use-by dates of April 6 and April 7 that were distributed to Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Maine. The spinach may have redistributed to New Jersey, Virginia, Delaware, Vermont, New Hampshire, West Virginia Ohio and the District of Columbia.
