WASHINGTON--Christine Lewis was named permanent director of the Food and DrugAdministration's (FDA) Office of Nutritional Products, Labeling & Dietary Supplements(ONPLDS). Lewis has served as acting director since January. She previously held theposition of deputy director of the Office of Special Nutritionals and was a member of thesteering committee for developing the center's Dietary Supplement Strategic Plan.
