California One Step Closer To Licensing Naturopaths
SACRAMENTO, Calif.
The California Senate passed a bill in late Maythat would expand statewide access to naturopathic medicine. The bill, SB 907,would extend state licensure to clinically trained naturopathic doctors inCalifornia.
SB 907 was introduced by Senate President Pro Tem John Burton (DSanFrancisco). California is a leader in the emerging natural health care field,Burton said. To continue prohibiting Californians from seeing qualifiedproviders of natural health care and receiving the benefit of the services theyprovide just doesnt make sense.
The bills next step will be the State Assembly.
