News Desk: Industry Talks Future of Dietary Supplements at CRN Annual Symposium

INSIDER had the opportunity to speak with Duffy McKay, N.D., senior vice president of scientific and regulatory affairs at CRN, about some of the key issues addressed during the conference, and how industry can move forward.    

Last week, the Council for Responsible Nutrition hosted its annual Symposium for the Dietary Supplement Industry in Palm Springs, California, on Oct. 21-23.

Attendees welcomed presentations and interactive workshops that covered key focal points in the industry, and importantly, the conference served as an opportunity for vested members of the industry to come together and tackle key issues facing the industry, such as the prevalence of adulterated products, controversial media coverage and the ongoing investigations of dietary supplements by state Attorneys General.
