SAN FRANCISCO--SPINS and ACNielsen report that natural and mainstream supermarkets,drug stores and mass merchandisers sold over $45 million in sports supplements last year.These supplements had increased sales of 21.8 percent last year with consumers spending$14 million on creatine alone, making up 31 percent of sports supplement sales.
