Ingredient Insights Video: Sports & Immune Health

<p style="margin: 0in 0in 8pt;">Exercise is generally good for health but intense exercise can negatively affect immune function, at least temporarily. </p>

Intense exercise can lead to a sharp decline in immune cells that leaves athletes more vulnerable to infection during at least the first 24 hours of recovery. This temporary immune suppression can not just increase the risk of upper respiratory tract infection (URTI), but also can hinder subsequent performance.

There are tons of immune-focused products on the market, including many natural options. However, only a handful have been researched specifically in athletes. This video will review immune function relative to sports nutrition and highlight three ingredients: methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), beta glucans and probiotics.
