CAMBRIDGESHIRE, EnglandHFL Sport Science developed a number of nutritional biomarker assays, including tests for vitamin D, phytoestrogens, and a range of other vitamin and carotenoid levels, to support the development of nutraceutical and functional food products and novel nutritional ingredients. The assays can also assist in examining correlations between nutritional biomarkers and various health conditions including heart disease, obesity and osteoporosis. Most recently, HFL developed a high throughput LC-MS assay to quantify both 25-hydroxy vitamin D2 and 25-hydroxy D3 in small volumes of plasma.
