Formulation, Legal Trends Highlighted at Sports Nutrition Marketplace

This year’s Ingredient Marketplace, held in Orlando April 18-20, will feature expanded sports nutrition market events packaged in the Sports Nutrition Marketplace. This means more education and networking opportunities for those interested in the latest ingredients, science and trends in this growing segment.

For education, we partnered with the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN), a non-profit, academic society that leads the way in providing science-based sports nutrition information, including research on sports supplements. ISSN produces the peer-reviewed Journal of ISSN, one of the world’s most trusted resources for sports nutrition research.

The program will feature sessions on formulation and legal issues and trends in the sports nutrition market. Among the expert speakers, Bruce Kneller, a principal at Giant Sports International and longtime sports nutrition industry formulator, will detail how ingredients and science come together to form a new product; and, Rick Collins, attorney at Collins Gann McCloskey & Barry PLLC and an ISSN fellow, will share his insights on the legal realities that sports nutrition companies face, including the latest on the new dietary ingredient (NDI) guidance and federal case decisions.

For a sneak peak at their upcoming sessions, check out articles from Kneller and Collins in the latest Digital Issue, The Science of Sports Nutrition.
