Thomas Aarts, Managing Director of Nutrition Business Advisors (NBA)
Mr. Aarts is a high-level management consultant with 22 years of experience working with C-suite executives across the nutrition industry. His experience lies in management consulting, M&A transactions, capital raising and strategic market research. Tom has worked with many companies, including GNC, Metagenics, Garden of Life, Reserveage, Martek, Nestlé, Bayer, Herbalife, Nu Skin and Cargill. He serves on the board for Natreon, STYR Labs, The Ross Camp Institute, and the Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists.

Naji Abumrad, MD, FACS
Dr. Abumrad is currently the John L. Sawyers Professor and Emeritus Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine having taken leadership there on January 1, 2004. Dr. Abumrad is a founder and current CEO and Chairman of the Board of Metabolic Technologies, (MTI) Inc. MTI is a research and development company located in Ames, Iowa, with a primary focus on the development of medically proven nutraceuticals. MTI is a holder of over 15 patents, most notably that of HMB, which is currently licensed to Abbott.

Dr. Jäger is a world-class inventor of functional foods and dietary supplements, as well as an award-winning speaker in these subject areas. He has developed many new products that currently lead the market in the supplement and food industry, as well as having designed and conducted clinical studies on prominent ingredients and respected products. He has authored and published numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers, industry publications and mainstream media articles on sports nutrition, brain, joint, heart, and gut health, and is a leading expert in the field of muscle health.

Carissa Johnson, Fit Mom & WBFF Pro
Carissa Johnson grew up as a competitive soccer player. After beginning her corporate accounting career, she realized she missed competing and the gym. This inspired her to earn her WBFF Pro Card in 2011. Unfortunately, shortly after receiving her pro card she was in a horrific car vs. pedestrian accident leaving her unsure if she would ever walk again. Carissa fought throughout her recovery, built her strength back up, and after many surgeries was able to step back on stage. She is now a proud mom of a baby girl and also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).

Larry Kolb, President, TSI, USA
Larry J. Kolb is co-founder and board member of TSI Group Co., Ltd., and President of TSI USA, Inc. After graduation from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Larry served as Vice President of Charles Bowman and Co., and Marketing Manager for Nurture, Inc. Larry also serves as an advisory board member to both UNPA (United Natural Products Alliance), NBJ (Nutrition Business Journal) and the Montana World Trade Center.

Bettina Mittendorfer, Professor, Department of Medicine, Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO
Early in her career, Bettina Mittendorfer has been involved in studies demonstrating that essential amino acids are primarily responsible for the anabolic effect of amino acids/protein in muscle and that older, compared to younger people, exhibit anabolic resistance (i.e., an impaired ability to stimulate muscle protein synthesis in response to protein intake). This anabolic resistance is now being recognized as a major mechanism responsible for the age-associated loss of muscle mass.

John A. Rathmacher, Ph.D.
John Rathmacher is the Director of Clinical Research and Laboratory Services at Metabolic Technologies Inc. in Ames, Iowa (United States) and is also a Collaborating Assistant Professor at Iowa State University. Dr. Rathmacher's research interests are in the area protein nutrition and the role of protein synthesis and proteolysis in regulating protein deposition in animals and humans. His research activities at MTI have focused on the use of HMB to increase muscle mass and strength in young and older adults as well as for medical uses such wound healing, sarcopenia associated with aging, and muscle wasting due to injury and disease.

Erin Stern, 2x Ms. Figure Olympia
Erin Stern was a collegiate track and field athlete at the University of Florida. After just missing the qualifying standard to go to the Beijing Olympics in the high jump by centimeters, she turned to bodybuilding. Erin earned her IFBB Pro Card as a Figure Competitor in 2008 and has since had a successful career in fitness and bodybuilding, including winning the Ms. Figure Olympia twice.

TJ Tollakson, Professional Triathlete, CEO of Ruster Sports and Dimond Bikes
TJ Tollakson has been a competitive athlete his entire life. In high school he was a State Cross Country runner, an All-State butterfly swimmer, and All-Conference soccer player. Struggling without athletic competition in college, TJ completed his first triathlon in 2001. By 2007 TJ participated in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships coming in 8th place, and in 2010 qualified again for the Ironman World Championships.
