Has your company launched an innovative new tea product? Please consider entering the 4th Annual SupplySide CPG Editor’s Choice Awards that recognize innovative finished product launches from CPG companies.

Consumers demand all things natural and healthy and teas, whether green, black or herbal, have demonstrated health benefits over the years. Cancer-fighting polyphenols—found in tea—have been shown to decrease prostate and brain cancer, green teas have shown to improve bone mineral density and white teas fight off infections. Global tea production has increased 40 percent from 2001 to 2011 and is projected to continue this incline hitting 50 percent by 2016. In addition, tea is becoming the spotlight in key ingredients giving companies a variety of options to incorporate into their mix and follow the growing tea trend.

Key considerations during the judging process will be the type of ingredients used, their functionality and nutrition benefits, as well as clever and innovative packaging.

The 4th Annual SupplySide CPG Editor’s Choice Awards includes 10 categories—Antioxidants, Bars, Digestive Health, Energy Drinks, Functional Food, Heart Health, Joint Health, Juices, Multivitamin, and Pet Food/Treats. The SupplySide editorial team will evaluate all nominations to determine the finalists in each category. Winners are selected by the SupplySide editor’s based on market innovation, consumer need, scientific substantiation and the “cool" factor.

Finalists will be showcased through the SupplySide Health & Nutrition Network brands, and winners announced at SupplySide West in Las Vegas, Oct. 5-9, 2015. Deadline for applications is July 31, 2015.
