GARDENA, Calif.NP Nutra launched its Jabuticaba Fruit Juice Ingredient, which can be added to juice, candy, yogurt and supplements. The ingredient is available as a fine powder, making it easy to add to functional products.

The jabuticaba fruit, native to Brazil, is similar in flavor to grapes, lychees and guava. However, the fruit is highly perishable, making it uncommon outside of South America. NP Nutra's new powdered ingredient harnesses its unique nutrition profile in a shelf-stable formula. The fruit contains high levels of vitamin C and fiber, in addition to antioxidant compounds.

In September, the company expanded its portfolio by offering CocOganic, its new certified organic coconut water ingredient.
