QUEBEC—Organic cranberry and blueberry company Fruit d’Or announced that Connecticut-based Vibrant Health of Canaan launched its certified Cran Naturelle products.

Vibrant Health President Ted Parker said his company was drawn to Cran Naturelle because it offers both soluble and insoluble proanthocyanidins (PAC), which are the actives in cranberries that deliver health benefits. He also said he was drawn to the product’s recent non-GMO certification.

The announcement comes two days after Fruit d’Or urged the industry for standardizing cranberry products. A company-conducted, unpublished test found that Cran Naturelle contains higher levels of PACs than other cranberry products.

Fruit d'Or is currently investing in new research into other health areas where cranberry could be highly useful, such as oral and gut health.
