Ixoreal Biomed Receives Product Innovation Award for KSM-66

LOS ANGELES—Ixoreal Biomed was awarded the Frost & Sullivan 2014 Product Innovation in Botanicals Award for its KSM-66 ashwagandha, the highest concentration root extract of ashwagandha available. The award is given to one manufacturer in a sector per year, based on a research process that evaluates several companies for innovation and excellence.

"Ixoreal, the maker of KSM-66 ashwagandha was the most impressive company we evaluated in this sector. It is rare to see a botanical company with such a singular focus on being the world’s best and investing heavily across science, manufacturing, and clinical trials," said Jayant Singh, associate director, pharma and medical technology, healthcare practice, Frost & Sullivan.

There have been seven human clinical studies featuring KSM-66 ashwagandha and two animal studies. In these studies, KSM-66 has been clinically documented to reduce stress and anxiety, enhance memory and cognition, increase endurance and strength and aid healthy sexual function in men and women.

KSM-66 has also been awarded the 2013 Best Botanical Ingredient Award by the editors of Functional Ingredients and the 2012 Innovative Ingredient of the Year Award at Panacea, South Asia's largest trade show and conference on natural products.

“We are humbled and honored to have our hard work recognized by these awards," said Kartikeya Baldwa, director, Ixoreal Biomed. "What makes us particularly happy is the rapidly growing number of formulators who are adopting KSM-66 for use in supplements, foods and beverages and recognizing the high-quality and excellence we stand for. "

KSM-66 is 100 percent organic, GRAS (generally recognized as safe) affirmed, Kosher and Halal certified. Ixoreal Biomed is an  herbal extracts and pharmaceuticals company focused on scientific excellence and research and development. It combines modern scientific technologies with traditional ayurvedic concepts, focusing on sustainability.
