WASHINGTON—The Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) and VIRGO Publishing (owner of Natural Products INSIDER) announced the details for an industry-wide webinar focusing on three regulatory initiatives: FDA's guidance on investigational new drug (IND) applications, new proposed rules under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and FTC's views on claims substantiation and more. The two-hour webinar, "Spring Regulatory Roundup: INDs, FSMA, FTC," will take place on Wednesday, April 23 at 2 p.m. EST.

“What you don’t know about these regulatory issues can hurt your company," said Rend Al-Mondhiry, regulatory counsel, CRN, and moderator of the webinar. “While many in the industry may be generally aware of these acronyms—IND, FSMA and, of course, FTC—it’s our goal to be sure that everyone in the industry gets up to speed on the latest regulatory initiatives behind these acronyms. This webinar will help."

The webinar will offer participants a better understanding of current regulatory hot topics from experts who will share their insights and arm participants with the knowledge to face regulatory changes and opportunities, while following the law.
