EDMONTON, Alberta—Afexa Life Sciences Inc. announced its COLD-FX® product received sports certification from NSF International under its NSF Certified for Sport™ program. Products receiving such certification from the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based not-for-profit organization have passed rigorous testing including GMP (good manufacturing practice) facility audits, label claim testing/verification and banned substance testing. Afexa has also conducted published clinical trials supporting the safety and efficacy of COLD-FX, as well as showing it contains no substances banned or restricted by the International Olympic Committee.

COLD-FX was selected as the Official Cold and Flu Remedy of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, to be held in February and March in Vancouver, British Columbia.
