Now in its 6th year, the SupplySide CPG Editor's Choice Awards recognizes some of the coolest new launches of consumer packaged goods (CPG) products across more than 20 categories.
In 2014, U.S. sales of probiotic supplements were $1.41 billion—a figure projected to increase to $3.08 billion by 2020, according to Statista. As evidenced by the Probiotics category finalists, products are available in a wide range of creative delivery formats, and traditional capsule supplements have continued to innovate with multifunctional ingredient combinations and targeted formulas. Tasty food and beverage offerings have attracted new users, as has increased media about the potential benefits of probiotics. Companies in the space need to continue spelling out their brands’ points of differentiation, as not all products are created equal when it comes to delivering probiotic benefits, particularly within the “fermented” food and beverage trend.
One winner in each category will be announced on the SupplySide Central Stage at SupplySide West 2017, held at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
