Consumers say they are interested in consuming omega-3s, but compliance to a daily omega-3 supplement continues to be challenge. Consumers don’t see an immediate result, health benefits are so wide-ranging that products aren’t targeted to specific demographics, and consumers are unaware of how low their omega-3 intake is. Omega-3 products have a lot of opportunity to grow, but they need to tailor messages and boost consumer education.
