Mars Inc. to Acquire VCA Inc. for $9.1 Billion in Cash

<p style="text-align: left;" dir="ltr">Mars Inc. announced it will acquire and VCA Inc., a provider of pet health care services in the country delivered through nearly 800 small animal veterinary hospitals in the United States and Canada, for approximately $9.1 billion in case. Upon completion of the deal, VCA will operate as a distinct and separate business unit within Mars Petcare, alongside its other Veterinary Services businesses, BANFIELD&reg; Pet Hospital, BLUEPEARL&reg; and PET PARTNERS&trade;.</p>
