WESTCHESTER, Ill.—Ingredion entered an agreement with Alliance Grain Traders (AGT) to be the company’s distributor of pulse flours, protein and bran ingredients.
The agreement includes products for consumer foods, such as baked goods, snacks and pasta, and it covers the United States, Canada, China, most of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
"The alliance with AGT opens a new chapter for Ingredion, and complements three of our most important growth platforms – wholesome ingredients, texturizers and nutritional ingredients," said Igor Playner, vice president, innovation and strategy, Ingredion North America. “Gaining access to pulses as an additional base in our toolbox, in the form of flours, protein and semolinas, aligns with a growing market interest for vegetable protein sources."
Ingredion will be introducing these products to the market during the next 120 days. Most of the line will be marketed under Ingredion’s HOMECRAFT® brand that currently encompasses a broad range of functional, gluten-free and clean-label flours.
Ingredion also recently introduced its new DOLCERRA sweetness and texture system for use in reduced sugar juices.
