Ingredientonline.com, Prinova, Bergstrom Nutrition, Kyowa Hakko Bio Co. Ltd. (Kyowa) and Frutarom Health BU recently expanded through partnerships and new establishments, which offer the companies better positioning in the industry.
Ingredientsonline.com, a global factory marketplace for nutritional raw materials and other ingredients, partnered with the creatine factory Shanghai Baosui, allowing customers to buy Baosui Creatine directly through the online platform. Baosui produces more than 6,000 metric tons of creatine per year, which is equivalent to the amount the United States demands annually. In July, Ingredientsonline.com also partnered with a Chinese nutritional raw materials manufacturer, signing a “go-direct" deal with Xingfa USA to sell MSM online directly to American customers. Ingredientsonline.com, a division of GWI, has created the first e-commerce global factory marketplace for direct online sales of nutritional ingredients, vitamins and food additives. The online platform will also be expanded in the coming months to include new overseas factory partners and major supplement and food additive products.
Prinova, supplier of ingredients, flavors and value-added nutrient fortification products, also announced a recent partnership with IN Ingredients, making Prinova the exclusive North American distributor for all of IN’s trademarked ingredients, including Cinnulin PF, Oxyjun, CellBerry, Nelulean, Testafuranol and many more. Leveraging Prinova’s strong distribution presence as well as their work with nutritional blends and formulations, they were a natural fit for IN Ingredients.
In addition, Bergstrom Nutrition, manufacturer of MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), announced Warren Chem Specialties as its new nonexclusive South African distributor. While Bergstrom Nutrition currently utilizes distributors to sell its MSM ingredient (OptiMSM®) throughout the world, this new partnership will help Bergstrom embark on a highly anticipated presence in Africa. Warren Chem Specialties is a supplier of quality ingredients to the pharmaceutical, food, beverage and nutraceutical industries from prime producers around the world to South Africa and its neighboring countries.
In other expansion news, Kyowa established a global brand marketing center comprised of members from Kyowa’s headquarters in Japan and regional offices in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. In addition to creating the Kyowa quality logo, the company has built a strong portfolio of branded ingredients that reinforce the company’s vision to contribute to the health, beauty and well-being of diverse populations around the world. According to the company, this is a major step in strengthening its global marketing strategy in order to fully support its customers and leverage the clinical science and quality behind its branded ingredients.
Finally, Frutarom Health BU expanded its offering of natural pharmaceutical ingredients with the recent acquisition of Vitiva d.d. The addition of the GMP-certified plant offers synergetic opportunities for the company.
