Berg Imports LLC signed an exclusive agreement with Immitec Norge AS to relocate production of the company’s proprietary Young Tissue Extract (YTE®) ingredient to the United States, with operations and distribution in the USA solely managed by Berg Imports.

Immitec’s YTE® has been the subject of nutritional research and scientific inquiry for over 30 years. For the last 15 years, YTE® has been the foundation of successful dietary supplements marketed by Immitec (formerly Med-Eq,) in Norway and greater Scandinavia, and by a number of brands Internationally.

Berg Imports LLC has been the exclusive distributor of YTE® in North America since 2010. The company’s U.S. production facilities are located in Iowa via direct farmer partnership, providing for full vertical oversight, increased production capacity and flexible manufacturing campaigns.

“U.S. production of YTE® will ease the historic supply restrictions that may have kept some brands out of the market,” said Berg president, Cai Berg. “This agreement allows us to produce and distribute a real ‘farm-to-format’ ingredient to the world with full vertical supply chain management.”
