Birthday-Cake Flavors Score Among Nostalgic Adults

At least 17 birthday-cake flavored products hit the market over the past few years, while only three surfaced during the previous three to five years, according to research firm Datamonitor. Most of the products became top-sellers, and not just among kids, but among nostalgic adults.
Tom Vierhile, innovation insights director, told USA Today that baby boomers, in particular, are enamored with the birthday cake trend.
Other examples of new birthday-cake flavored products include iced beverages, cookies, vodka, Peeps and protein powder.
