For decades, it was believed that the ubiquinol form was superior to ubiquinone in terms of bioavailability, absorption and efficiency, especially with older adults. As an answer to this bioavailability question, a clinical trial was conducted, comparing ubiquinol to Q10Vital®, a special water-soluble form of ubiquinone.

Clinically proven, Q10Vital® is up to 8-times more bioavailable (with a median of 4) compared to crystalline (basic) CoQ10. Furthermore, results of the clinical trial confirmed there is no significant difference in bioavailability between Q10Vital® and ubiquinol. Findings additionally confirmed unobstructed ubiquinone (Q10Vital®) to ubiquinol conversion even at the age of 65 or older.
