REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. Clinical research organization (CRO) Vedic Lifesciences introduced its ACElerator, a model for conducting human studies to substantiate product claims. Using this client-CRO model, Vedic will train the company's research team on how to collect organized human use data. However, the project responsibilities will be shared between the client and Vedic, who will document, analyze and write reports to present publishable data.

Vedic hopes to introduce this model to the nutraceutical and dietary supplement industry to facilitate reduced-cost but credible data for peer-reviewed journals. The company, which currently has offices in California and India, is planning to expand to Malaysia.
