MaitakeProducts (www.maitake.com) signed an agreement to become a U.S. distributor forChangshu Wanxing Chemical (CWC), a Chinese manufacturer of alpha lipoic acid(ALA). CWC exports ALA products to Japan, the United States and variouscountries in Europe and Southeast Asia, and has different formulations availableto meet each countrys regulatory requirements, including solvent-free ALA.CWC is currently expanding its facility and expects to increase productioncapacity significantly when the construction is completed by early 2006.
