MILAN, ItalyThe Italian Society of Chemistry and Cosmetology (SiCC) awarded Indena SpA the 2007 Mauro Prevedello Prize, recognizing the most effective technical-scientific communication addressed to professionals. The winning piece, Ginkgo Biloba Dimeric Flavonoids Phytosome, was recognized by the jury for its concise communication, readily perceived target audience, clear supporting evidence, useful laboratory data and clever marketing tips. Eligibility for the award, which was presented during an SiCC seminar in mid-December, extended to technical brochures developed by cosmetic sector operators.

Prevedello was an Italian cosmetologist and journalist who dedicated his life to scientific communication; in accepting the award, Giada Maramaldi, manager for Indena Scientific Communication and co-author of the winning publication, expressed her respect for Prevedello as a source of inspiration to her professional life.

The award was presented during the SiCC Seminar: "Natural: myth or reality?", held on Dec. 12, 2007, in the Aula Magna of the University of Milan.
