MENASHE, IsraelGalam Group, a supplier of non-GM (genetically modified) crystalline fructose (Fruitose®), glucose and starch in Europe, reached an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Atomer S.L., a Spanish leader in the liquid fructose and liquid sugars market. The investment in Atomer S.L. reinforces Galam Groups presence in the European liquid blends market. Galams extensive experience in the fructose business will help Atomers S.L. consolidate in the domestic market, while Galams extended distribution network in Europe will expand Atomers activities beyond Spain. In 2004, Galam Group set up Eurosweet, a subsidiary located in Germany, in the field of liquid sweet blends for the food and beverage industries.
