AHP Publishes Goldenseal Monograph
SANTA CRUZ, Calif.--The American Herbal Pharmacopoeia(AHP) published its monograph on Goldenseal Root (Hydrastis canadensis), the final addition to the AHP 2000 series of monographs. The monograph reports on the pharmacological and therapeutic research on and traditional uses of goldenseal; it also covers research done onberberine, one of the herb's bioactive compounds. Other publications in the 2000 series include Ashwagangha Root, Cramp Bark, Chaste Tree Fruit, Black Haw and Reishi Mushroom. Additional information is available online(www.herbal-ahp.org).
