LONDON, OntarioKGK Synergize Inc. has formed a new company, GMP Auditing Partners, a consulting firm that will help manufacturing and ingredient suppliers solve GMP (good manufacturing practice) compliance problems, provide regulatory guidance and develop best business practices. KGK will introduce the new company at the SupplySide West Show in Las Vegas, Oct. 6 to 10, 2014 where it is co-sponsoring SupplySide Central with Venable LLP. SupplySide Central is the interactive show floor hub at this year’s trade show.
“Given the recent push from the FDA with regard to their GMP inspections, we felt this was the next logical step in the growth of services offered by KGK Synergize Inc.," said Najla Guthrie, president and CEO of KGK Synergize Inc.
KGK Synergize Inc. appointed Ed Wyszumiala as CEO of GMP Auditing Partners. Prior to this position, Wyszumiala was head of NSF International’s dietary supplement programs, where he ran and managed its GMP certification and product certification programs. Wyszumiala has worked closely with global regulatory agencies, as well as the industry executives at over 400 companies to ensure GMP manufacturing compliance, and provide regulatory guidance and strategies.
“I am looking forward to growing GMP Auditing Partners," Wyszumiala said. “Since 2010, the FDA has been stating that three out of four companies had demonstrated GMP deficiencies during their inspections. GMP compliance is a complex regulation to interpret; companies need a partner who understands these regulations and can help interpret them. At GMP Auditing Partners, our experts and knowledge is unmatched regarding GMP regulations. Our staff has former FDA officials, veteran industry auditors and analytical chemists, to deliver the confidence and expertise you would expect from your partner in GMP compliance."
During SupplySide Central where GMP Auditing Partners will be debuted, co-sponsors KGK and Venable will host talks on compliance briefings in 10-minute intervals.
SupplySide Central offers a variety of interactive, quick-paced programming, designed to delve into some of the hot topics facing the industry. From the SupplySide Rockstars offering their unique perspective on dietary supplement regulatory issues, and documentary and short-form video screenings, SupplySide Central is designed to be a hub of activity centrally located on the Expo Hall floor.
“SupplySide Central is designed to deliver dynamic programming in an interactive environment right on the show floor," said Heather Granato, vice president of content, Informa Health & Nutrition Network. “Just as we deliver content in different ways via media and event platforms, the SupplySide Central stage is a hub of activity and information showcased in different waysfrom video and talk shows to shorter discussions with audience engagement. This is only one of the aspects demonstrating the intersection of science and strategy at SupplySide West."
