The recent Food Drug Law Institute (FDLI) Food Week Conference tackled numerous legal and regulatory topics involving foods, beverages and dietary supplements. While most of the audience of lawyers have represented corporations, attorney Michael Reese, founder and managing partner of Reese Richman LLP, has focused on the plaintiff side of class action lawsuits. Reese explained why consumer class actions can result from Lanham Act cases, which are suits between business competitors, as well as from FTC actions.
