Omega Protein Corp.completed construction on a health and science center, based in Reedville, Va.,to enhance production of its OmegaPure® fish oil. The center includes afood-grade fish oil processing facility with equipment to allow Omega Protein torefine, bleach, winterize and deodorize all of its available menhaden fish oilfrom the Atlantic coast. The facility includes automated packaging andrefrigerated on-site storage capacity, as well as a laboratory for research anddevelopment on omega-3 enriched foods.
