Neilson Dairy Milk Contains DHA
GEORGETOWN, OntarioA specially formulated diet developed at the University of Guelph, Ontario, and supported by the Dairy Farmers of Ontario, enables dairy cows to absorb docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and release it naturally into their milk, according to Neilson Dairy (www.neilsondairy.com), who make Neilson Dairy Oh!, the first fresh dairy milk to contain DHA. The special diet protects the DHA from being broken down in the cows stomach.
According to Neilson Dairy, one 250-ml. serving of its Neilson Dairy Oh! homogenized milk contains 20 mg of DHA, and one single 250-ml. serving of Neilson Dairy Oh! 2- percent milk contains 10 mg of DHA.
