Fatty Fish Recommendation Bodes Well For Supplements
LYSAKER, Norway--On the heels of a report issued in Circulation, Pronova a.s., based here, noted that consumers may be increasing their consumption of omega-3 supplements. The report includes guidelines from the American Heart Association advising consumers to eat fatty fish, such as yellow fin or salmon, twice a week for the omega-3 fatty acid content.
However, other organizations have noted that it may be difficult to achieve the necessary levels of omega-3 fatty acids for health benefit strictly through diet, and that dietary supplementation with fish oil may be a more realistic option. To learn more, visit www.pronova.com.
