Lonza Licenses PC Ingredient BASEL, SwitzerlandLonza Inc. (www.lonza.com) signed a licensing agreement with Calgary, Alberta-based SemBioSys Genetics Inc. giving Lonza global rights to SemBioSys DermaSphere ingredient system for use in personal care markets. Lonza will develop, produce and market non-transgenic oilbody-based ingredients to be used in cosmetic and skin care products. DermaSphere is a natural oil-in-water emulsion in which oil is surrounded by phospholipids and oleosin protein. SemBioSys (www.sembiosys.com) has patents on the product in the United States, Canada and other countries.
