In the absence of federal legislation for GMO labeling, states are moving forward with legislation to require the use of GMO labeling on food and supplements.

The demand for legislation regarding genetically modified organisms (GMOs) labeling is gaining momentum at the state level. Connecticut and Maine have GMO legislation on the books and 24 states have GMO legislation in the works.
