Galaxy Nutritional Foods, Schreiber Foods Reach Settlement

ORLANDOGalaxy Nutritional Foods (www.galaxyfoods.com)reached an out-of-court settlement in a lawsuit filed by Schreiber Foods Inc.against Galaxy, which alleged various acts of patent infringement. Under thesettlement agreement, both parties agreed to have all claims in the patentinfringement lawsuit dismissed. Pursuant to the settlement, the two companiesalso entered into a licensing agreement permitting Galaxy to continue using themanufacturing equipment name in the lawsuit. According to Galaxy, the term ofthe license extends through the life of all patents named in the lawsuit and allrelated patents, and is assignable by Galaxy.
