AIDP Receives Patent for Mineral Collagen Chelates

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.AIDP Inc. was awarded a U.S. Patent (No. 7,495,076), Mineral collagen chelates and methods of making and using same. The patent particularly covers methods of generating optimally sized collagen peptide and mineral chelation techniques, and use of the compounds to address bone and joint health. AIDP markets mineral collagen chelates as KoAct.

AIDPs calcium ingredient, KoAct Calcium Collagen Chelate, was the subject of a recent animal study in Japan. We were surprised by the tangible results of calcium chelation using the collagen delivery matrix, said Dave Dannenhold, AIDPs vice president of sales. The bone mineral density increased by over 9 percent in the KoAct group, vs. groups with an equal amount of calcium and a calcium/collagen mixture.
