AUSTIN—Tampa Bay Analytical owner Mark C. Roman passed away on May 8 after a battle with metastatic lung cancer. Roman, at age 46, was scheduled to begin a new phase of his treatment before rapidly declining in his health. He is survived by his parents.
As an analytical chemist, Roman worked to create high-quality standards and analytical methods for the dietary supplement industry. Consequently, HerbalGram, a publication of the American Botanical Council, will publish a tribute to Roman in its next issue.
