WASHINGTONKing & Prince Seafood, a Brunswick, Ga., firm, is recalling its Breaded Calamari Rings because they may contain the undeclared allergen, peanut, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Jan. 20. The calamari products may have been cross-contaminated with peanuts during the manufacturing of soy flour.

The recall involves 10- and 12-pound boxes of Mrs. Fridays Breaded Calamari Rings, 4/2.5#, UPC code 10041338578028; Mrs. Fridays Italian Calamari Rings, 4/2.5#, UPC code 10041338578004;  and Mrs. Friday Breaded Italian Calamari Rings, 6/2#, UPC code 10070017412100.

The affected products were distributed nationally through brokers and foodservice distributors up to Jan. 20, 2011.
