Barbecue Shrimp Recalled Over Undeclared Whey

WASHINGTONRich Products Corp., of Buffalo, N.Y., is recalling Sonnys Barbecue Deep Deveined Shrimp sold to foodservice distributors in the Southeastern U.S. because the product contains undeclared whey in the coating of the shrimp, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced Jan. 19.

The recall involves Sonnys Barbecue Deep Deveined Shrimp packed in 20-pound cases that contain 10 2-pound plain poly bags. The UPC code 10041322806922 and appears on the case. The shrimp was sold for exclusive use by Sonnys Real Pit Bar-B-Q restaurants.
