Extracted from blackcurrant seeds (Ribes nigrum), NP Nutras Blackcurrant Seed Oil contains greater than 15% C18:3 Gamma Linolenic Acid, and provides an important plant source of essential fatty acids for those who may be allergic to fish or who prefer a vegetarian source. Blackcurrant oil contains essential fatty acids including, linoleic acid (omega-6), alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3) and stearidonic acid as well as gamma linolenic acid, an essential omega-6 fatty acid which may be helpful in promoting cardiovascular health and maintaining normal blood pressure levels.
