CARLSBAD, Calif.—Glanbia Nutritionals will showcase its latest innovations in food and beverage ingredients at SupplySide West 2014 (booth 19101).

Visitors to Glanbia Nutritionals’ booth will be able to try prototype bar applications, such as the Simple Probiotic Bar with ALA-omega 3. Formulated with only six ingredients (to meet the clean label trend), this nutritious snack is an example of Glanbia Nutritionals’ expertise in bar formulation. The recipe includes BarPro^TM, a partially hydrolized milk protein concentrate with a creamy dairy note, BevGrad^® Chia, super-finely milled for a smoother texture, and Ganeden BC30^®, a shelf stable probiotic with 15 billion cfu/g, for improved digestive health and a stronger immune system. Flavor nuances denominated in the prototype Cookies ‘n’ Crème have been optimized by Glanbia Nutritionals’ Flavor Artistry team.

Also on hand will be the High Protein/Fiber Cardio Bar, containing 15 grams of protein and fiber in each bar. Harnessing the nutritional benefits of MenaQ7^® PURE, a nature identical Vitamin K2, and the functional properties of BarPro^TM 283, a milk protein concentrate designed for enhanced softness and extended shelf life, the High Protein/Fiber Cardio Bar has significant beneficial effects on bone and cardiovascular health.

Glanbia Nutritionals will also offer samples of its Energy Chia Smoothie, a beverage including the ALA-omega 3 and fiber benefits of BevGrad^® Chia. Also, Glanbia Nutritionals’ Energy Premix contains NutraShield™ caffeine, with encapsulation technology to improve caffeine taste, and Carnipure™ Carnitine, which provides sustained energy in stable beverage formulations. Also included in the premix is Chromax^® Chromium Picolinate, with B vitamins, a natural source of energy to aid metabolism support. The smoothie contains OptiSol^® 1061, a true Greek yogurt powder that enables manufacturers to introduce the ingredient in diverse food and beverage applications. Grade A and rBST free, its primary function is to create an authentic Greek yogurt flavor profile in beverages, bar, dairy foods, dips and sauces.
