AUSTIN, Texas—Whole Foods Market recently partnered with Chef Ann Cooper, aka "The Renegade Lunch Lady," to launch “School Lunch Revolution" campaign to help schools make a switch from processed foods to fresh, natural ingredients and scratch-made meals.
The campaign’s Web site, www.thelunchbox.org, is an online resource created by Chef Ann that empowers schools to reform their lunch programs. The site provides nutritionally analyzed, scalable recipes; tools to help schools work with smaller scale, quality food vendors; resources for procuring real, natural foods regionally and locally; tools to simplify compliance, tracking and cost analysis; and teaching and training tools for lunchroom personnel.
