SHORT HILLS, N.J.OmniActive Health Technologies developed a range of consumer education initiatives including videos and marketing collateral materials related to the health effects of lutein and zeaxanthin isomers. Designed to help educate consumers and health care professionals about the importance of lutein and zeaxanthin for eye health, the outreach will also expand brand awareness for the companys Lutemax 2020® ingredient.
"This education initiative provides supplement companies with yet another reason to collaborate with OmniActive Health Technologies to upgrade their current eye health offerings or develop a new line of unique products to capitalize on the growing eye health category," said Hiren Doshi, vice president. "Currently, a vast majority of lutein-based supplements on the market contain very low levels of zeaxanthin. Lutemax 2020 is the only ingredient that delivers a complete source of both lutein and zeaxanthin isomers in significantly higher concentrations, for convenient and more beneficial nutrient availability to the eyes."
Two educational videos are now online at Lutemax2020.com, along with a scientific presentation from Elizabeth J. Johnson, Ph.D., a researcher at Tufts University who specializes in nutrition and eye disease prevention. The consumer video discusses the health effects of lutein and zeaxanthin, while the health care professional video focuses on the growing market for eye health supplements and points of differentiation about OmniActives Lutemax 2020.
