MONTREAL—Lallemand Health Solutions announced the latest addition to its portfolio of probiotic offerings with the launch of Oral Health solutions. This new offer combines proprietary documented probiotic strains and adapted dosage forms and formulation capabilities to design custom oral health solutions to maintain the oral microflora balance and support oral health.

Oral health conditions, such as gingivitis, tooth decay and more, are not uncommon and have a significant negative impact on health. Most oral health conditions appear to have a bacterial component, and a balanced oral microflora seems to be a key to maintaining good oral health. In this context, certain probiotics properties and mechanisms of action (competition with pathogens, anti-microbial activity, immuno-modulation) appear relevant to the oral cavity issues.

The new Oral Health offer contains a range of Lallemand proprietary documented strains, various Lactobacilli and two Streptococci salivarius, whose properties and modes of action are relevant to the oral microflora balance. Lallemand also offers the expertise to formulate these strains into adapted dosage forms.

Lallemand is a privately owned company specializing in the development, production and marketing of yeast and bacteria, as well as other ingredients linked to these microorganisms or their markets. The company also offers solutions for gut health, immunity, stress and emotional equilibrium, and women’s health.
