Desert Lake Technologies Changes Name to 'Cerule'

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.—Desert Lake Technologies changed the company name to Cerule™ to more closely unify its scientifically researched, microalgae-based ingredients with the company that supports it. The name change is effective immediately and will be showcased at SupplySide West in Las Vegas (booth 34143).

“The change from Desert Lake Technologies to Cerule comes at a defining moment in our company’s history," said Greg Newman, president of Cerule. “Cerule created a new category of scientifically researched, safe, potent, high-quality, and efficacious microalgae-based ingredients called ‘Algaceuticals™’. By taking on the Cerule name, we differentiate ourselves as the developers of our unique blue-green algae extracts and better market our product offerings as we continue to expand to outside markets."

Cerule is a family-owned business with a 15-year history and a growing portfolio of ingredients, including its newly launched Cyactiv™ brand, a concentrated extract of Phycocyanin combined with other blue-green algae-derived compounds that help rebalance the body to support a healthy inflammation response. Cerule chose its name after an extensive selection and vetting process that included suggestions from Cerule employees.
