HOERSHOLM, DenmarkChr. Hansen has signed an agreement with Labroatorios Synthesis, a pharmaceutical company in Columbia, to distribute its female health product INVIMA. INMIVA is a probiotic capsule taken orally that can help reduce the risk of vaginal infections. The product will be sold in Columbia under the brand name "BioBactro."  The company recently presented the product at a women's health conference attended by 200 medical doctors in Cartagena, Colombia.

Last year, Chr. Hansen launched a study looking to prove that consuming probiotics helps protect against influenza and the common cold.
