LONG BEACH, Calif.BI Nutraceuticals is supporting growing consumer demand for natural immune health supplements during cold and flu season by increasing its Echinacea powder supply. It contracted several hundred metric tons of Echinacea herb and root.
"Currently, sales of Echinacea represent approximately 10 percent of the U.S. dietary supplement market," said BI Nutraceuticals president and CEO George Pontiakos. "BI feels it imperative to have large quantities of Echinacea herb and root powders on-hand to meet increased demand and ensure a seamless production process for our customers."
